Position Information
The Second Cook works aboard MV Saga and company vessels alongside Squamish, British Columbia.
The position reports to the First Cook and supports culinary production and galley operations.
Employee status is rotational, typically 28 days on and 14 days off.
Employment and Pay
- Terms of employment are hourly and rotational.
- Average hourly wage is CAD 23.34.
- An extended health benefits package is offered.
Workplace and Travel
- The work is performed aboard a company vessel or floatel in a marine operating environment.
- The company pays for flights from major Canadian cities and transportation to and from the project site for each rotation.
- Rotational schedules may vary by department but are typically 28 days on and 14 days off.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-volume line cooking for buffets and Grab & Go preparation.
- Oversee Third Cook preparation of vegetables, salads, garnishes, and raw meats.
- Prepare and package sandwiches and reheatable micro meals.
