POWERCHINA is expanding its Dubai Engineering Design Team for UAE and Middle East and Africa projects.
The role requires genuine substation SCADA and automation design experience.
Responsibilities
- Design SCADA, substation automation, and telecommunication systems for HV/EHV substations.
- Develop system architectures, block diagrams, and fiber-optic network drawings.
- Prepare and review RTU, BCU, IED interfaces, signal lists, and I/O lists.
- Coordinate protection, control, SCADA, and control centre interfaces.
- Support IEC 61850-based SAS and teleprotection integration.
- Review vendor documents and support FAT, SAT, system integration, and commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, telecommunication engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant substation SCADA, automation, or telecommunication experience.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA, RTU, BCU, IED, and fiber-optic communication systems.
- Good knowledge of IEC 61850 and protection and control interfaces.
- Experience with FAT/SAT and system integration.
- Good professional English communication skills.
