Role Overview
The senior, hands-on SAP FICO Lead drives finance process design, business process re-engineering, team leadership, and adoption of S/4HANA finance capabilities.
The role supports a multi-business group covering contracting, engineering services, manufacturing, real estate, and logistics.
S/4HANA Financial Implementation
- Design, configure, and implement FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, CO-OM, CO-PC, and CO-PA using the S/4HANA Universal Journal.
- Configure S/4HANA Cloud Cash Management, FSCM Receivables Management, and RE-FX.
- Support financial data structures for SAP Group Reporting and consolidated statements across legal entities.
Adoption and Change Enablement
- Champion adoption of S/4HANA standard best practices and reduce resistance to process change.
- Design and oversee user enablement, super-user training, and post-go-live hypercare.
- Assess impacts of standard SAP processes against legacy workflows and formulate mitigation plans.
Leadership and Governance
- Lead the SAP FICO track with strategic direction, functional decision-making, and alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Manage onshore and offshore consultants, system integrator teams, and internal key users.
- Act as the primary finance functional liaison for executives, business heads, and IT leadership.
Integration and Quality
- Oversee mapping of Chart of Accounts, Business Partners, and transactional items across FICO, EPPM, VSM, and HR Payroll.
- Oversee SIT, UAT, sign-off protocols, and key RICEFW functional specifications.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10+ years of core SAP FI/CO implementation and team lead experience.
- At least two full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Proven experience leading SAP Finance workstreams and managing onshore and offshore delivery teams.
- Deep understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, multi-currency accounting, and corporate financial consolidation.
- Hands-on experience or functional mastery in S/4HANA Cash Management, FSCM, and RE-FX.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is highly advantageous.
- Legacy ERP migration experience, including Oracle EBS to SAP S/4HANA, is a strong advantage.
- SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting or RISE with SAP certification is preferred.
- GCC exposure to conglomerate, EPC, contracting, or real estate business models is preferred.
