Job Summary

  • As our Salon Manager, you will be the driving force behind the salon's daily success, overseeing both client satisfaction and team performance.
  • You will manage day to day operations, lead a talented team of stylists, nail technicians, and receptionists, and ensure the salon meets its financial and retail sales targets.
  • The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong business mindset, excellent customer service standards, and a proven track record of managing operations and retail inventory in a luxury salon, spa, or hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations & Guest Experience: Oversee the smooth daily running of the salon. Ensure a luxury, pristine environment that strictly adheres to hygiene and safety protocols. Handle VIP clients and resolve any customer service issues with grace and professionalism.
  • Team Leadership & Scheduling: Lead, motivate, and manage salon staff (hair, nail, and beauty departments). Manage shift rosters, coordinate leave schedules, and foster a collaborative, high performing team environment.
  • Retail & Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels of premium retail and professional use products. Manage inventory tracking, order placements, stock takes, and minimize wastage. Ensure the team actively promotes retail products to clients.
  • Sales & Financial Targets: Drive salon revenue by setting and monitoring individual and team KPIs (service sales, retail sales, and re booking rates). Plan promotions and marketing strategies in coordination with owners to attract new clients.
  • Administrative Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily sales, salon software data, and petty cash. Collaborate with the finance/accounting team to review revenue summaries and operational expenses.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Salon Manager, Spa Manager, or Assistant Salon Manager in a high end salon or luxury hospitality venue.
  • Operations & Sales Savvy: Proven track record of meeting retail and service sales targets, with a solid understanding of salon business metrics.
  • Inventory Expertise: Strong experience managing high end retail inventory, product stock takes, and ordering processes.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a diverse, multicultural team of creative professionals.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with modern salon management and booking software (e.g., Zenoti, Fresha, Shortcuts) and basic MS Excel/data entry skills.
  • Industry Passion: Up to date with current beauty, hair, and nail trends, standards, and luxury service expectations.
