Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Sommelier and ensure the sake list is up to date with correct information
- Ensure correct stock levels are in place before each service
- Make sure all sake are kept and served at the correct temperature
- Support the sommelier team with sake and wine deliveries and ensure proper storage
- Assist the Head Sommelier with staff training and share sake knowledge
- Assist members with sake selections and provide expert recommendations including food and sake pairings
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurant
- Internationally recognised professional certification
- Excellent level of English, written and spoken
- Ability to recommend food and sake pairings

What Will You Do
- Assist Head Sommelier and ensure sake list is up to date.
- Ensure correct stock levels before each service.
- Ensure all sake are kept and served at correct temperature.
- Support sommelier team with sake and wine deliveries.
- Assist Head Sommelier with staff training and share sake knowledge.
- Assist members with sake selections and provide expert recommendations.
- Maintain guest preference records.
- Assist in keeping operating costs to a minimum.
- Be responsible for own development.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining.
- Internationally recognised professional certification.
- Excellent level of English.
- Ability to recommend food and sake pairings.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods.
- Impeccable manners.
- Immaculate personal presentation.
