Key Responsibilities
- Monitor workplace health and safety compliance across the University.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Maintain safety records, certifications, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders when required.
- Prepare safety reports for senior management and promote continuous improvement.
- Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional HSE or safety certification such as NEBOSH or an equivalent certification.
- 5–10 years of relevant Safety or HSE experience, preferably in higher education.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
