Safety Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Support the safety management system covering worker, user, and third-party safety.
• Promote a caring safety culture, maintain safety documentation, and participate in safety committees and forums.
• Advise the unit and work with customers, partners, and subcontractors on safety matters.
• Develop and exercise crisis and emergency response plans.
• Monitor safety risk processes and support safety-related change initiatives.
• Collect and report safety data, monitor the legal environment, and perform safety audits.
• Investigate incidents, manage corrective and preventive actions, and improve assurance processes.
• Support safety training, competency development, and communication of safety information and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• Trakhees-approved Safety Engineer status is required.
• Two to five years of safety experience is required, ideally in the elevator industry.
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills are required.
• Problem-solving, incident management, auditing, and analytical proficiency are required.
• Additional safety certifications and English fluency are advantageous.
