Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development of an annual ramp inspection programme
- Ensure the annual ramp inspection programme leaves appropriate time and resources for inspections of non compliant operators
- Supervise ramp inspectors planning process
- Monitor implementation of the annual ramp inspection programme
- Plan prioritised ramp inspections
- Ensure all staff involved in ramp inspections are competent and trained
- Implement a national ramp inspection quality control system
- Collect and analyse all traffic data for Qatar
- Represent the State of Qatar at RICS meetings
Requirements
- Professional Higher Education or equivalent experience
- English level C1: Effective operational proficiency or advanced
- Must be familiar with EASA and ICAO rulemaking procedures
- Must have excellent working knowledge of ICAO Annexes, EASA IR & QCAR related to SAFA
- Experience as SAFA Coordinator or SAFA Senior Inspector is required
- At least 5 years experience in preparing or implementing annual ramp inspection programs, regulations, operating manuals deemed necessary for SAFA operations

About the Role

- To supervise ramp inspectors planning process.
- To monitor implementation of the annual ramp inspection programme.
- To plan prioritised ramp inspections.
- To ensure all staff involved are competent and trained.
- To implement a national ramp inspection quality control system.
- To collect and analyse all traffic data for Qatar.
- To support QCAA by participation in working groups.
- To represent Qatar at RICS meetings.
- To promote an inspectors exchange programme.
- To organise regular meetings with ramp inspection staff.
Experience
- Professional Higher Education or equivalent experience.
- English level C1: Effective operational proficiency or advanced.
- First level university degree in aviation or related field is an advantage.
- Must be familiar with EASA and ICAO rulemaking procedures.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of ICAO Annexes, EASA IR & QCAR related to SAFA.
- Experience as SAFA Coordinator or SAFA Senior Inspector is required.
- At least 5 years experience in preparing or implementing annual ramp inspection programs.
- Extensive experience as a government SAFA inspector is an advantage.
