The Role

  • The Learning and Talent Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering our organisation wide approach to learning, talent development and early careers.
  • This includes leading the design and delivery of a cohesive development offer for the Executive Committee (ExCo) and wider leadership population.
  • The role supports the growth and progression of colleagues from apprentices and graduates to senior leader.

Key area of focus/responsibility

  • Lead the design and delivery of a multi year and enduring Executive Development Programme.
  • Lead the design and delivery of a multi year and enduring Senior Leadership curriculum.
  • Own and lead the continued professional development of the Leadership 50 population.
  • Accountable for shaping and delivering the CAA’s talent management and succession planning framework.
  • Lead the operation of the CAA Talent Board.
  • Develop and implement a core learning and development strategy.
  • Lead the design and delivery of a compelling management development approach.
  • Lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive learning portfolio.
  • Own and lead the CAA approach to onboarding and Corporate Induction Programme.
  • Lead the Organisational Capability elements of the job architecture project.
  • Create and embed career pathways and development frameworks.
  • Introduce, launch and embed CAA coaching and mentoring.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a senior talent management and/or L&D role designing and implementing programmes and frameworks.
  • A strategic perspective on organisational capability.
  • Strong LMS experience and digital learning fluency, with hands on experience of AI and technology tools.
  • The curiosity and judgement to evaluate emerging tools and the confidence to lead their adoption.
  • Experience working in or with multi site or international organisations.
  • A track record of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders constructively.
  • Strong use of data and HR metrics to inform recommendations.
  • A self motivated, ownership focused approach.

Salary and Contract

  • Salary: £72,547 up to £75,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
  • Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time.

Base Location and Working

  • Base Location: Gatwick – 2 days per week office attendance (to manage existing team).
  • We have embraced hybrid working and offer flexible working patterns.
