- Knowledge of international standards (BS EN, OSHA, SSPC, NACE)
- Experience in supervising SIP activities in industrial settings
- Ability to conduct inspections and certify scaffolds
- Competency in surface preparation and coating applications

Job Purpose / Objective
- Provide advanced technical expertise, supervision, and quality control for all scaffolding, insulation, and painting (SIP) activities across company facilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolds in accordance with company HSE standards and international codes.
- Review scaffold design drawings and ensure proper load capacity and tagging system.
- Conduct inspections and certify scaffolds prior to use.
- Monitor installation and removal of thermal and cold insulation systems for piping, vessels, and equipment.
- Ensure correct material selection (e.g., mineral wool, calcium silicate, PIR) in accordance with approved specifications.
- Supervise surface preparation (blasting, cleaning) and coating applications.
- Ensure proper application of protective coatings for corrosion control.
- Support maintenance and turnaround activities by coordinating SIP works during plant shutdowns.
- Guide and mentor technicians and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize daily maintenance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of departmental systems and processes.
- Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
- Ensure compliance with Life Critical Procedures, Tenets of Operations, Consent to Operate.
- Enforce company Safety Procedures, Permit to Work (PTW), and LT&T systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks and job safety analysis (JSA).
- Identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.
- Perform routine inspections and audits of SIP work.
- Ensure documentation, reports, and checklists are completed accurately.
- Verify contractor performance and adherence to specifications.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit Daily Shift Reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report incidents and near misses; perform investigations and determine root cause.
Qatarization
- Contribute to the development of Qatari employees (applicable to expatriate employees only).
