Essential Job Functions
- Manage and execute data engineering projects and tasks, ensuring they meet project objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams to gather and understand data requirements.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and security.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members when needed.
- Contribute to the data engineering strategy and ensure it aligns with the overall business goals.
- Monitor and optimize data processes for performance and efficiency.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new data technologies.
- Promote collaboration, learning, and best practices within the team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience in data engineering
- Proficiencies in data engineering tools and technologies
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology Other Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field a plus
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Hortonworks Certified Data Engineer a plus
