Job Summary
The Room Attendant maintains the cleanliness, presentation, and appearance of guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards.
The role supports a positive guest experience by providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas; change linens; replace towels; and replenish amenities.
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, wipe surfaces, and report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Ensure rooms are checked and ready for guest arrival within the designated timeframe.
- Respond to guest requests professionally and maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, respect guest privacy, and coordinate with hotel departments.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset but is not required.
- Work independently and as part of a team with strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Have physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull items as needed.
- Be flexible for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays and have good communication and customer-service skills.
