About the Role

Responsibilities
- Inspect lifting equipment, slings, shackles, hooks, wire ropes, chains, and other rigging gear before use
- Select appropriate lifting equipment based on load weight, size, and lifting requirements
- Attach, secure, balance, and prepare loads for safe lifting and transportation
- Guide crane operators using approved hand signals or radio communication during lifting operations
- Ensure lifting activities are performed in accordance with approved lifting plans and risk assessments
- Calculate or verify load weights and ensure crane lifting capacities are not exceeded
- Conduct pre lift inspections and identify hazards before lifting operations begin
- Ensure proper use of tag lines to control suspended loads where required
- Maintain exclusion zones and prevent unauthorized personnel from entering lifting areas
- Report defective lifting equipment and remove damaged gear from service
- Maintain lifting equipment records and inspection tags where applicable
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures, permit to work requirements, and lifting regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Rigger certification (Level I, II, or III)
- Minimum 2 5 years of experience as a rigger in construction, oil & gas, industrial, marine, or infrastructure projects
- Banksman/Signalman certification is an advantage

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid Rigger certification (Rigger Level I, II, or III, or equivalent).

Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a rigger in construction, oil & gas, industrial, marine, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with mobile cranes, tower cranes, crawler cranes, or overhead cranes is preferred.
