Role Overview
Lead and support all aspects of operations for a busy cafe and restaurant.
Deliver a high-quality menu and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service.
Maintain revenue, profitability, quality, productivity, and customer-service goals.
Restaurant Operations
- Coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Organize shifts, supervise employees, and train staff on customer service practices.
- Oversee dining room operations, customer check-ins, seating capacity, food preparation, and regulatory compliance.
- Review product quality, research vendors, and estimate supply needs.
- Control costs, reduce waste, and prepare revenue and expense reports.
People and Customer Management
- Respond to customer complaints efficiently and accurately.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback.
- Hire qualified cooks and wait staff.
- Manage the restaurant's image and improve customer dining experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Operations Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar.
- Proven managerial customer service experience and extensive food and beverage knowledge.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Sapaad or Oracle.
- Strong leadership, motivational, people, communication, and financial management skills.
- Three years of restaurant manager experience is preferred.
- A UAE driver's license is required.
Education
- A BSc degree in Business Administration is listed as a qualification.
- Hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus.
Workplace
- The role is full-time and performed in person.
