Role Overview
Lead and support all aspects of operations for a busy cafe and restaurant.
Maintain revenue, profitability, quality, productivity, and customer-service standards.
Lead by example and support staff in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Deliver superior service and respond efficiently to customer complaints.
- Review product quality, research vendors, and estimate future supply needs.
- Organize shifts, appraise staff performance, and provide productivity feedback.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage the restaurant’s image and recommend community promotions, events, discounts, and social media advertising.
- Control operational costs, reduce waste, and prepare revenue and expense reports.
- Train employees on customer service practices and implement operating policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Operations Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar.
- Proven customer service experience as a manager.
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, including ingredients and dishes.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Sapaad or Oracle.
