Restaurant Hostess

Role Overview

Your Role

• Welcome and professionally greet all guests upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, seating arrangements, and table allocation.
• Own restaurant floor flow during the shift.
• Coordinate with waiters, runners, and restaurant management.
• Monitor table readiness, cleanliness, and turnover.
• Ensure efficient seating and proper table rotation.
• Follow up on guest needs and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Identify service issues and communicate them to management.
• Support the front-of-house team during busy service periods.
• Maintain the organization, presentation, and atmosphere of the floor.
• Maintain service standards throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Two to three years of relevant experience as a Hostess, Floor Supervisor, Senior Waitress, or in a similar position.
• Strong understanding of restaurant floor operations and guest flow management.
• Excellent spoken English.
• Additional languages are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident personality with the ability to take responsibility and make decisions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient during peak hours.
• Excellent grooming, professional appearance, and strong hospitality presence.
• Positive attitude, energetic personality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Workplace

• The position is based at a premium restaurant in Business Bay, Dubai.
• Work location is in person.
