Role Overview
Sous Chef position supporting a restaurant in Dubai Business Bay.
The role supports the Head Chef in kitchen operations, menu development, innovative dishes, and consistent quality.
The role covers modern and international cuisine and high-volume service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing and operating the kitchen.
- Prepare and develop modern and international dishes.
- Create, test, and develop new recipes and dishes.
- Contribute to menu development and continuous menu innovation.
- Monitor dish quality, preparation, presentation, portioning, and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with recipe and preparation standards.
- Train, guide, and supervise kitchen team members.
- Complete mise en place preparation before service.
- Develop sauces, marinades, dressings, and signature recipes.
- Monitor ingredient usage and reduce food waste.
- Maintain food hygiene and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef and management during high-volume service.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in modern and international cuisine.
