About the Role
The employer is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Restaurant General Manager for La Lunaire by Le Palais, a luxury fine-dining concept in Abu Dhabi.
The role leads high-volume restaurant operations, develops high-performing teams, drives financial performance, and delivers exceptional guest experiences.
This is a senior hospitality leadership role requiring refined service standards and a hands-on approach.
Restaurant Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations across service, food quality, guest experience, and restaurant presentation.
- Establish luxury hospitality standards and ensure compliance with company, food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational performance, implement improvements, and coordinate Front of House and Back of House teams.
Guest Experience
- Create exceptional and personalized dining experiences for guests.
- Maintain relationships with VIP guests, regular clientele, and key stakeholders.
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery effectively while maintaining refined service etiquette and product knowledge.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop restaurant management and service teams.
- Build a service culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
Financial and Commercial Management
- Own the restaurant's financial and commercial performance, including P&L, budgets, cost controls, labor costs, and operating expenses.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue while maintaining the restaurant's positioning and service standards.
- Monitor key business indicators and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
Brand and Business Development
- Collaborate with Marketing and senior management to strengthen Le Palais' market positioning.
- Support events, partnerships, special dining experiences, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
- Represent Le Palais and Chinese Palace Group professionally with guests, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive restaurant operations experience with significant fine-dining, luxury hospitality, or premium restaurant experience is required.
- Experience as a Restaurant General Manager, General Manager, or senior restaurant leader is required.
- Experience managing P&L, budgets, labor costs, operational KPIs, and large multicultural teams is required.
- Strong luxury service, guest experience, leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and commercial skills are required.
- Experience with international brands, luxury hotels, premium restaurants, or sophisticated dining concepts is highly desirable.
- UAE or GCC hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety, and UAE restaurant regulations is required.
