- Oversee the daily operations and progress of construction projects to ensure successful execution
- Manage and direct project teams, including Assistant Resident Engineers, Inspectors of Works, and Quantity Surveyors
- Ensure that all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to quality standards
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and other construction teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and other documentation
- Manage Health & Safety and Environmental Protection standards during construction
- Handle project related issues, mitigate risks, and provide proactive solutions
- Monitor and manage technical and financial proposals, as well as evaluate constructability and deployment of technology on site
- Ensure effective communication among the project team and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with Client/PMC, the Contractor and related concerned authorities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial or technical lead role in large scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
- Demonstrated experience in handling technical and financial proposals, evaluating constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical challenges during construction
- Experience in managing Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of deep underground structures and similar large scale projects
- Proven experience in managing Design & Build projects
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing skills
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of engineers and technical staff
- Proactive problem solving ability and capacity to manage work across multiple areas on site
- Computer skills with proficiency in relevant software tools for project management and construction tasks
