About the Role
Egis Group is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for its infrastructure project management and construction management team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
The role is site-based and serves as the primary technical authority and project representative from infrastructure planning through completion.
The position requires analytical ability, attention to detail, and decisive technical judgment in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and site operations for compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports on progress, issues, and corrective actions.
- Manage schedules, milestones, stakeholders, subcontractors, budgets, costs, and cost-control measures.
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies before implementation.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain project records including logs, test reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities and communicate project performance to clients, management, and authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure or construction project management.
- Proven expertise in project management and construction management methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction practices, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools; AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with budget management, cost control, financial reporting, and construction quality processes.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulations and PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Ability to manage on-site teams and make sound technical decisions.
