Role Overview
A globally recognized technology leader is hiring a Resident Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & AI in Dubai.
This is a hands-on architecture and engineering role working with customers, technology partners, and internal engineering teams.
The role covers design, integration, optimization, and support for cloud infrastructure, AI/GPU infrastructure, networking, storage, and automation.
Cloud Architecture and Design
- Design end-to-end solutions across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, containerization, and orchestration.
- Analyze infrastructure and recommend modernization, architecture improvements, and capacity expansion strategies.
- Create HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, BoQs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs meet scalability, availability, performance, and security requirements.
OpenStack and OpenShift
- Design, deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot OpenStack private cloud environments.
- Support KVM, Ceph, OpenStack services, and network virtualization platforms.
- Design and implement enterprise OpenShift platforms and support compute, networking, storage, and control-plane components.
- Manage OpenShift upgrades, expansion, troubleshooting, optimization, and integrations with monitoring, security, storage, and identity systems.
Networking, Storage, and AI
- Design and validate data centre networking architectures for cloud environments.
- Support Leaf-Spine, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, MLAG, routing, and switching technologies.
- Design storage solutions for virtualization, containerized workloads, and AI platforms.
- Support NVIDIA technologies, AI/GPU infrastructure, and high-performance computing environments.
Automation and Operations
- Design and integrate cloud orchestration and automation solutions.
- Use Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes Operators, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, networking, storage, and virtualization layers.
- Work with customer stakeholders to deliver and continuously optimize cloud environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, data centre, or enterprise infrastructure engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on OpenStack architecture, deployment, and administration experience.
- Strong Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with large-scale private cloud design and troubleshooting.
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable, while AI/GPU, Ceph, automation, and enterprise storage experience is advantageous.
