Position Summary
Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
Identify guest needs, determine room types, verify availability and rates, and explain reservation policies.
Use sales techniques to maximize revenue and document special requests accurately.
Guest and Reservation Duties
- Answer questions about property facilities, services, and room accommodations.
- Input and access reservation data in the reservation system.
- Apply correct codes and rates for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspections, and wholesale reservations.
- Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
- Anticipate service needs and assist individuals with disabilities.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and communicate professionally.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
