Position Summary
This full-time, non-management role is in the Engineering & Facilities department at The Ritz-Carlton Doha.
The position responds to guest repair requests and performs hotel maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering support.
Maintenance Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical-room equipment.
- Inspect equipment and operate building and equipment utility shut-offs.
- Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
- Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, and guestroom equipment.
- Complete painting, drywall, wood-trim, light-bulb, A/C-filter, and repair-area cleanup work.
- Program televisions and perform housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
- Repair interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
- Enter air-handler schedules and temperature changes using basic computer systems.
Safety and Service Standards
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report hazards, accidents, injuries, and maintenance problems.
