Position Summary
Maintain hotel facilities and equipment while responding to guest repair requests and communicating with customers and other shifts.
The position covers air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building systems.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on tools, equipment, guestroom items, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Complete surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood-trim repairs, light-bulb and air-conditioning filter replacement, and cleanup.
- Operate utility shut-offs, maintain inventory, requisition parts, program televisions, and enter air-handler schedules and temperature changes on computers.
- Use Lockout/Tagout procedures and repair interior and exterior landscaping and sprinkler systems.
- Follow safety, security, quality, confidentiality, asset-protection, and guest-service standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, with heavier tasks performed with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Some experience in general maintenance and exterior or interior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
