Position Summary
Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
Identify guest needs, determine suitable room types, verify availability and rates, and document special requests.
Reservations Duties
- Explain guarantee, special-rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
- Answer questions about property facilities, services, and room accommodations.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Input and retrieve reservation data and apply correct codes and rates for special reservation types.
- Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
Guest Service and Teamwork
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and respond appropriately to concerns.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Support team goals and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Operational Requirements
- Follow company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and protect guest and coworker privacy.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is required.
