Role Overview
Responsible for managing guest reservations and ensuring accurate booking coordination to support smooth restaurant operations.
The role handles all reservation inquiries, maintains the booking system, and ensures clear communication of guest requirements to the front-of-house team.
The Reservation Agent plays a key role in optimizing table occupancy and enhancing the overall guest experience from the first point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Reservation Handling & Guest Communication: Manages reservations through phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring prompt, professional, and accurate responses to all guest inquiries.
- Booking System Management: Maintains and updates the reservation system, ensuring all guest details, preferences, and special requests are accurately recorded.
- Guest Experience Support: Ensures all guest requirements, special occasions, and VIP notes are clearly communicated to the hostess and operations team for seamless service delivery.
- Table Allocation Support: Coordinates with the Head Hostess and service team to support effective table allocation and maximize seating efficiency.
- No-Show & Cancellation Management: Monitors reservation confirmations, cancellations, and no-shows, ensuring proper follow-ups and system updates.
- Operational Coordination: Works closely with the hostess team and restaurant management to align reservations with service capacity, events, and peak periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in reservations, hostess, or front-of-house role within F&B
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bookings in a fast-paced environment
