Role Overview

  • This role is the sole finance authority at the venue, responsible for the end to end financial function, from daily transaction processing to ownership level reporting. This is a hands on, independent role that requires equal comfort with operational accounting and strategic financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis: Owns the preparation of venue P&L statements, leads the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, and conducts variance analysis across sales, COGS, labour, and operating costs.
  • F&B Cost Control, Performance Reporting & Labour Analysis: Owns all cost control and financial reporting for the venue. Tracks and reports on key metrics including food cost %, beverage cost %, labour cost %, contribution margin, and RevPASH.
  • Inventory, Stock Management & Recipe Costing: Oversees and personally executes inventory management across all venue areas. Conducts regular stocktakes, calculates actual vs theoretical COGS, investigates and resolves variances, maintains standard recipe costing, and owns menu cost updates and profi
  • Accounting Operations & Month End Closing: Independently manages all accounting operations including general ledger entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, POS revenue matching, expense allocation, and petty cash. Owns and executes month end and year end closing activities in full.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA Finance, CA Inter, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or F&B groups. Beach club experience is an advantage.
  • Must have prior experience working in Dubai. Candidates without UAE based hospitality finance experience will not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT, and local compliance requirements.
  • Hands on knowledge of recipe costing, inventory management, wastage analysis, portion control, and POS back office systems.
  • Proficiency in finance and ERP systems. Familiarity with Micros or similar POS platforms is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present independently to senior and ownership level stakeholders.
