Responsibilities
- Receive repair/warranty parts turned in by Shops/Maintenance technician
- Inspect and verify part number, serial number, ensuring documents match physical part
- Ensure packaging is appropriate for shipment
- Discuss parts with Incident Report to customer for disposition and guidance
- Accept turn in in approved software program, ensuring no duplicate or discrepancy
- Properly pack the part, label it and place in proper location
- Open and assign new repair file reference in the system and tracking file
- Scan defect report, green tag, and other documents for records keeping
- Prepare shipment list, advice note and custom invoice; coordinate collection with vendors
- Load parts on truck, drive forklift, and unload parts received after repair
- Ship parts in system, update tracking file, scan/file shipping documents
- Receive parts after repair, verify part numbers and serial numbers match delivery documents and COC
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum 7 years actual experience in aviation logistics and/or maintenance operations
- Logistical knowledge of Repair & Return process
- Certified in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Must have knowledge in computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English Language

Overview
- The Repair Planner is responsible for processing unserviceable parts from maintenance and shops.
- Performing a receiving inspection on components making sure part details matches on physical part and all documents that accompanies the component.
- Prepare shipping documents and prepare shop for shipping.
- Contact shipping agent by email for pick up of parts.
- Receive and inspect parts after repair.
- Update tracking file system and ensure all documentation are scanned and saved along the whole process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive repair/warranty parts turned in by Shops/Maintenance technician.
- Inspect and verify part number, serial number, making sure all the documents match the details on the physical part and signatories are complete and correct.
- Ensure packaging is appropriate for shipment.
- Discuss parts with Incident Report to the customer for disposition and guidance.
- Accept turn in in approved software program, ensuring part number, serial number doesn’t have duplicate or discrepancy. Also ensure the warranty condition of the part/aircraft in the system.
- Properly packs the part, label it and place in proper location.
- Responsible for opening and assigning a new repair file reference in the system (approved software program) and on the section’s Tracking file to track the part throughout the repair process.
- Scanning of the defect report, green tag, and other documents that came with the part for records keeping.
- Preparing of shipment list, advice note and custom invoice for shipment of the part and contacting respective vendors to coordinate collection of parts.
- On shipment day, the Repair Planner is responsible to loads the parts on the truck, drive the forklift and unload the parts received after repair.
- Shipping parts in the system (approved software program) update the tracking file and scanning/filing of the shipping documents.
- Receiving parts after repair, ensuring the part numbers and serial number are correct and matches delivery documents and COC (Certificate of Conformance).
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- 10 years Aviation Background
- Logistical knowledge of Repair & Return process
- Certified in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Must have knowledge in computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is a plus.
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English Language.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of 7 years actual experience in aviation logistics and or maintenance operations.
- Quality control experience a plus.
- Technician in aviation operation is suggested.
- Thorough knowledge of repair and return process; Familiar with ITAR standards; special tools, hardware and equipment used in the repair of aircraft metal and composite structures.
- Must be able to interpret technical data.
