Overview

  • To lead large and highly complex aircraft components maintenance and repair and overhaul such as flight control and hydraulics in a timely manner and inspect the execution of the repair and maintenance tasks to ensure adherence to technical orders, standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the day to day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
  • Ensure daily production targets are achieved.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools, special tools, and test equipment.
  • Examine and inspect calibration on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications and ensure performance of task based on standard procedure.
  • Test flight control components and hydraulics under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment.
  • Lead scheduled service and maintenance tasks on components and advise on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting components and related aircraft equipment.
  • Lead unscheduled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment.
  • Examine and test repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures and approve the process before signing off.
  • Review and inspect maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation.
  • Report findings to supervisor and collaborate to assess problems and lead implementation of solutions.
  • Initiate deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records.
  • Record information on data collection forms and automated systems and prepare timely and accurate status reports.

Qualification

  • Technical aircraft or jet engine maintenance diploma or skill level 7 certified engines technician

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 8 years experience within aircraft components maintenance operations area at depot level.
  • Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of jet engine structure, components and functions.
