Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management Projects, this role is responsible for the delivery of our capitalised maintenance programme on our generating assets. You’ll work directly with Hydro Asset Management Maintenance team in developing and implementing the long-term maintenance plan to keep our M&E plant operational between major strategic interventions (typically circa 40 years).
Some of your main accountabilities will include:
Full responsibility for the strategy, tactical planning and delivery of the M&E campaigns of work, as well as longer term strategic maintenance planning aligned to our asset class strategies, the outputs of our maintenance reviews, and continual improvement cycle under ISO 55001.
Providing leadership to a geographically diverse, multi-disciplinary engineering team, fostering a strong safety culture, developing capability, managing risk and ensuring the effective delivery of business objectives.
Overseeing the development and delivery of capital refurbishment and maintenance programmes, managing projects through the full lifecycle, identifying opportunities for innovation and technology improvement
Developing and managing long-term and annual budgets, ensuring programmes of work are delivered within agreed financial parameters, with accurate in-year reporting to support business performance and asset availability.
Developing contract strategies and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, collaborating across internal and external partners to deliver commercial, operational and tactical objectives.

To be successful in this role, we would love you to have;
Sound engineering experience and working knowledge of Hydro Plant, hydraulic systems and infrastructure or similar.
Proven management experience of leading and developing a diverse team over multiple locations.
The ability to deliver complex projects through contractor partnerships, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
Have a good working knowledge of Forms of Contract.
The ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries, whilst providing leadership on critical commercial activities.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with experience of maintaining effective governance and control.
