About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager – SME Banking to join the Wholesale Banking team of a well established UAE bank.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new SME clients, growing an assigned portfolio, structuring lending solutions, and managing long term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and acquire new SME banking relationships across targeted business segments.
  • Build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market prospecting.
  • Achieve assigned business development, lending, revenue, and cross selling targets.
  • Promote the Bank's SME banking solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of SME clients.
  • Develop strong, long term relationships with business owners and key decision makers.
  • Understand customers' financing requirements and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive relationship management.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of SME customers.
  • Assess business performance, repayment capacity, and financial health.
  • Prepare high quality credit proposals and credit recommendation papers.
  • Structure lending facilities in accordance with internal credit policies and risk appetite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • MBA, CFA, CA, CPA, or other professional banking qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE banking experience.
  • At least 3 years in SME Banking or Commercial Banking.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE SME lending products and credit processes.
  • Proven experience in SME Relationship Management, Business Development, Credit Analysis, Credit Proposal Writing, Portfolio Management.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent financial statement analysis.
  • Credit underwriting and proposal writing.
  • Knowledge of SME risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
