Role Overview
Serve as an early point of contact for customers seeking advice about memberships, travel, home protection, and auto insurance.
Build customer relationships through helpful service and suitable product recommendations.
Typical Day
- Greet customers in person and by phone and promote memberships, travel insurance, ICBC, and optional auto insurance.
- Recommend products and coverage that fit customer needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting on customer coverage recommendations.
- Work with team members to provide exceptional service and meet sales goals.
- Participate in training and develop expertise toward becoming an Insurance Advisor.
- Maintain annual licensing requirements and stay current with products and services.
What You Bring
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales and service environment.
- Level 1 Insurance license or commitment to secure it within the first 45 days.
- Autoplan Essentials or commitment to complete it within the first 3 months.
- Limited history of Errors and Omissions and good standing with the Insurance Council of BC.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
