• The Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical interventions.
• Responsibilities include assessing and stabilizing patients, administering medications and life-support treatments, operating critical care equipment, and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.
• The nurse ensures the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and recovery in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• 🛠 Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, responses to treatment, and overall condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-support treatments as prescribed.
• Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions, including resuscitation.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient documentation in medical records.
• Educate and support patients’ families regarding condition, treatment, and recovery expectations.
• Uphold strict infection control, safety, and ethical standards at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• 🎓 Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable country/state.
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical nursing experience, preferably in an ICU/critical care setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of critical care protocols, emergency interventions, and advanced patient monitoring.
• Proficiency in using ICU equipment and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a multidisciplinary environment.
