About the Role

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and explain procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Monitor patients during examinations and prevent unnecessary radiation exposure
- Calibrate, set up, and operate imaging equipment
- Assist physician in diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Perform interventional/therapeutic procedures to treat cardiac disease
- Document physiological readings and archive images
- Obtain and check IV/arterial access under medical supervision
- Remove arterial sheath and apply compressive dressing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science or health related field
- MOPH license from State of Qatar through QCHP
- MME license from State of Qatar for Radiation Imaging Practices
- Minimum 3 years of experience in invasive cardiovascular laboratory post graduation
- Knowledge of radiologic safety practices and infection control
- Arabic and English language proficiency

Job Summary & Scope
- Perform diagnostic exams to obtain valid data and perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures to treat cardiac disease.
- Assist physicians in diagnosis; scope based on technical and behavioral competencies.
- Must understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and explain procedures, ensuring comfort.
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring safety and preventing unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor Cath Lab supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering technical questions and scheduling appointments.
- Ensure cardiologic equipment remains in working order and report malfunctions.
- Clean equipment according to infection control policies.
- Calibrate, set up, and operate imaging equipment.
- Assist physician in all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Perform interventional/therapeutic procedures to obtain valid data/treat cardiac disease.
- Provide summary of findings to physician; document physiological readings and archive images.
Licensure, Education & Experience
- License of professional practice at origin of graduation.
- MOPH license from State of Qatar through QCHP.
- MME license from State of Qatar for Radiation Imaging Practices.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in science or health related field.
- Preferred: National Registry exam by CCI or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in invasive cardiovascular laboratory post graduation.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in invasive cardiovascular laboratory.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of radiologic safety practices, cleanliness, and infection control.
- Capable of performing all procedures of interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization.
- Good analytical abilities and technical skills.
- Good organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.
- Customer service oriented skills.
- Sensitive to physical and emotional needs of patients.
- Good attitude and flexible teamwork abilities.
- Good computer skills with proficiency in medical systems.
Languages
- Minimum: Arabic & English.
- Preferred: Good level of spoken English and adequate written English.
