Job Purpose
Provide recruiting services in assigned areas of the business and to deliver high quality talent in a timely manner by implementing effective search and selection techniques.
Participate in the recruitment process for all assigned areas within HIA by providing recruitment solutions and professional guidance to managers ensuring regular feedback and professional service at the best cost.
Actively participate and contribute to the HIA Talent Acquisition Department team activities.
Supervise a small team of support staff in order to ensure that the recruitment process is effective and efficient.
Accountabilities
- Participate and understand the operational objectives and manpower recruitment needs of the assigned departments within HIA and convert this understanding into pro active recruitment plans which broadly outline candidate identification and attraction initiatives and any issues arising which will cost-effectively and efficiently deliver results within HIA.
- Implement these plans effectively while responding to unbudgeted increases within HIA. Manage third party agency agreements and processes when appropriate for recruitment assistance.
- Projects manage specific recruitment campaigns of HIA both in and outside Qatar; including initiatives for multiple positions to attract and process quality candidates. Professionally and effectively manage other assigned recruitment tasks and/or one-off projects to meet set project goals.
- Utilize available databases to identify potential candidates, and when necessary write quality print and web based advertisements to attract candidates across global markets. Utilize technology and experience to shortlist candidates to provide Line Managers with candidates that are a good match for job requirements of HIA.
- Use appropriate methodologies and ensure effective benchmarking of candidates predominantly up to and including management grade, and further sourcing of candidates above management grade up to senior management grade as required.
- Review HIA job descriptions and prepare appropriate competency based questions for both telephone screening, pre recorded and face-to-faces interviews.
- Liaise with HIA Line Managers regarding required questions and advise and facilitate professional selection interviews/assessment centres in conjunction with HIA Line Managers.
- Perform reference checks where required and effectively negotiate offer contracts with preferred candidates.
- Where appropriate offer additional guidance and support to HIA Line Managers through transferring professional knowledge and counselling HIA Line Managers to use best practice principles.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications And Experience
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Strong Experience in agency and in house.
- Experience with niche / hard to fill roles
- Recruiting experience in full life-cycle end to end process, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
- Recruiting experience in relevant industry, preferably aviation/airport
- Attention to detail and negotiation skills
- Excellent command of English language
- Headhunting and Interviewing Skills
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Experience of demonstrating accountability in managing effective working relationships.
- Well-developed inter-personal skills with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven success with process and information management.
