About the Role
Minor Hotels seeks a Recreation Manager for Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort to oversee daily sports and recreation operations, create unique guest activities, and lead health and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth running of the Sports & Recreations department on a day to day basis
- Create new, unique and interesting recreation activities drawing upon local cultural, sporting or other offerings
- Position the sports and leisure offering as a differentiator and competitive advantage for the hotel
- Ensure outsourced service providers are of good quality
- Lead implementation of health and safety codes in sports and leisure activities
- Take the lead on the Anantara Children program
- Train and assist in evaluation of attendants who work with fitness programs
- Supervise instructors and associates involved in Sports & Recreations activities
- Monitor success of activity programs through participation and guest feedback
- Prepare and circulate clear information to guests about events
- Prepare yearly budget for the department and drive revenues
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role at a luxury resort or hotel in the UAE
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication skills and guest engagement abilities
- Fluency in English
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain)

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth running of the Sports & Recreations department on a day to day basis to achieve the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction.
- Create new, unique and interesting recreation activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of the area.
- Continually position the sports and leisure offering as a differentiator and a point of competitive advantage for the hotel.
- Ensure outsourced service providers are of good quality.
- Have complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel.
- Lead the implementation of all health and safety codes in the sports and leisure activities, and take full care of children.
- Take the lead on the Anantara Children program.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
- Train and assist in the evaluation of attendants who work with fitness programs.
- Supervise instructors and all other associates help with any activities or functions arranged via Sports & Recreations.
- Use qualified attendants in all areas where relevant qualifications are required.
- Monitor the success of the activity’s programs through the number of participants and guests’ feedback.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role at a luxury resort or hotel in the UAE.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication skills and guest engagement abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
