Own the design and delivery of a centralized accounts-payable reconciliation platform.
The platform includes the reconciliation database, billing-verification matching engine, orchestrator, notification and action engine, workflow, UI, and reporting.
The platform replaces per-system reconciliation across client entities.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end platform design and delivery, including data models, matching, rules, orchestration, actions, notifications, workflow, UI, and reporting.
- Run rules and scenario workshops with AP, procurement, and tax teams and convert outcomes into precise specifications.
- Lead backend, frontend, and data or ML engineers through planning, code review, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and Kubernetes production deployment.
- Lead an AI-assisted matching pilot with confidence scores, human approval, explainability, and auditability.
- Ensure audit trails, RBAC and entity scoping through Entra ID, observability, scale performance, and SLA readiness.
- Deliver technical knowledge transfer and runbooks.
Required experience and skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years leading product or platform delivery.
- Finance-process platform experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong architecture skills in microservices, event-driven workflows, relational data modelling, rules engines, workflow engines, REST APIs, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay and AP invoice-matching controls, including tolerances, duplicate detection, and exception handling.
- Excellent facilitation with finance users and the ability to translate business rules into precise specifications.
Preferred skills
- ML-assisted matching or classification with human-in-the-loop controls is preferred.
- SAP FI-AP posting integration experience is preferred.
- UAE VAT and eInvoicing awareness is preferred.
