Position Summary
Receive, process, track, store, and deliver incoming and outgoing freight, merchandise, packages, and mail.
Maintain accurate receiving, shipping, inventory, and package-tracking records for the hotel.
Receiving and Inventory Duties
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries against invoices and receiving reports.
- Stage merchandise by department, mark it for placement, and deliver it to the appropriate department.
- Verify received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
- Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports to ensure accurate counts.
Packages, Mail, and Security
- Receive, store, ship, and deliver department packages and mail.
- Secure the receiving room and its contents.
- Ship outgoing mail and packages.
- Track all shipping and receiving transactions, including guest signatures.
- Verify package quantity and condition before delivery to guests and report loss or damage to management.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required by the source posting.
