Role Overview
Provide radiology services to assigned patients at the highest attainable standard of care within hospital resources.
Perform radiological procedures at a technical level without supervision using independent judgment and initiative.
Radiology Procedures
- Select and operate appropriate equipment for each examination.
- Position patients according to requested examinations and select suitable technical factors.
- Produce images of acceptable quality for prescribed examinations.
- Administer oral, rectal, and parenteral contrast media under radiologist supervision.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Chief Technician or designee.
Safety and Clinical Standards
- Apply radiation protection and safety regulations during all examinations.
- Maintain examination rooms in a clean and ready state.
- Follow infection-control standards, including sterile procedures where applicable.
- Maintain professional conduct and appropriate ethical relationships.
Patient Care and Quality
- Assist in the emergency treatment of patients.
- Participate in patient and family education to support informed care decisions.
- Implement and coordinate policies and procedures supporting standards of care and quality improvement.
- Perform other duties within professional knowledge and skills as directed by radiology leadership.
Requirements
- Perform radiological procedures at a technical level without supervision.

- Follow infection-control standards, including sterile procedures where applicable.
