About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform all CT imagery procedures in accordance with department policies and protocols
- Evaluate and assess CT images for quality and completeness
- Conduct preparations, cannulations, and administration of IV contrast agents under supervision
- Maintain inventory of supplies and report shortages
- Operate advanced software for bolus tracking, image reconstructions, and quantifications
- Ensure safe and competent use of radiology equipment
- Comply with safety, infection control, and quality assurance programs
- Participate in education sessions and training of new staff
Requirements
- NLT 2 years post graduate experience with helical/spiral scanning in an acute care hospital
- NLT 4 years post graduate experience with helical/spiral scanning in an acute care hospital (for senior level)
- Special Certificate in CT (implied)

Job Description
- Responsible to independently or under supervision perform all CT imagery procedures, analyze output and report to supervisor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment.
- Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor.
- Performing all CT imagery procedures in accordance with department policies.
- Applying detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce high diagnostic quality images.
- Performing other related radiography procedures as required.
- Evaluating and assessing CT images for acceptable quality.
- Conducting preparations, cannulations, administrations of IV contrast agents under supervision.
- Recognizing anatomy and pathology in cross sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols.
- Responsible for safe and competent use of all radiology equipment.
- Operating advanced software on specialist radiological equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
- Providing advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques.
Qualifications
- NLT 2 year post graduate experience with helical/spiral scanning in an acute care hospital.
- NLT 4 years post graduate experience with helical/spiral scanning in an acute care hospital.
