About the Role
Korean Techno Inspection Middle East LLC seeks a qualified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) to ensure safe handling, control, and monitoring of radiation sources on oil & gas project sites.

Responsibilities
- Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety regulations and company procedures.
- Monitor and control the safe use of radioactive sources (Ir 192, Co 60, etc.).
- Calculate and establish safe exclusion zones and barricading distances.
- Conduct radiation surveys and dose rate measurements using calibrated instruments.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and return of radiation sources.
- Maintain radiation safety records, logs, and exposure reports.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for radiation work activities.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC requirements and UAE regulatory authority (FANR) standards.
- Coordinate with RT technicians, supervisors, and QA/QC teams during radiography operations.
- Investigate and report any radiation safety deviations or incidents.
Requirements
- BARC Level I certification (Mandatory) or equivalent approved radiation safety qualification
- Minimum 9 years of experience in Radiation Protection / Industrial Radiography safety
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or related industrial projects
- GCC / ADNOC project experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation physics and safety principles
- Expertise in radiation dose calculations and safe distance estimation
- Familiarity with industrial radiography operations (Gamma & X ray)
- Strong understanding of HSE systems and emergency procedures
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage field safety operations independently

Job Summary

Experience
- Minimum 9 years of experience in Radiation Protection / Industrial Radiography safety.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or related industrial projects.
- GCC / ADNOC project experience preferred.
