Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Master with minimum 10 years relevant experience OR Bachelor with minimum 12 years OR PhD with minimum 5 years
- Proven leadership expertise in team handling
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate across functions and cultures
- Strategic mindset combined with hands on, structured approach

Summary of the Role
- As an R&D Team Leader Fire Protection, you will work closely with the R&D Manager to manage and further develop the Fire Protection product portfolio. You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing the technical capabilities of the chemist team, ensuring continuous competence growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver larger projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and timely execution within agreed budgets.
- Take ownership of key Fire Protection products and projects, ensuring adherence to quality, performance, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the R&D Manager to support the development and execution of the R&D strategy, including idea generation, trend analysis, and compliance with HSE regulations.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to support business growth by promoting Jotun's technical solutions, testing capabilities, and product portfolio to customers.
- Drive competence development through knowledge sharing, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement of tools and systems.
- Lead the team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach and guide its members to ensure a workforce which is competent, engaged and enabled to meet department current and future needs.
- Ensure compliance with Jotun's HSEQ requirements, maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of raw materials, formulations, and testing activities.
What we look for
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
