- Identify and mitigate potential cost overruns and risks
- Work closely with the project team to understand project requirements and provide cost effective solutions
- Conduct cost benefit analysis to evaluate project feasibility and profitability
- Prepare and submit progress reports on project costs to project stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure that materials and services are available when needed
- Review and approve invoices and payment requests from suppliers and contractors
- Provide guidance and support to project team members on cost related matters
- Maintain the records of variation submitted and approved
Requirements
- Experience in quantity surveying or cost management
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation and budgeting
- Ability to conduct cost benefit analysis and feasibility studies
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in preparing progress reports and maintaining records
