Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders, proposals, and ongoing projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for pricing comparisons.
- Conduct site visits (when necessary) to better understand project requirements.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and assist in pricing and cost breakdown.
- Evaluate and manage project risks and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement for accurate cost planning.
- Assist in post tender clarifications, negotiations, and value engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 5+ years of UAE experience as an Estimator in the construction or fit out sector.
- Strong understanding of estimation tools, cost control systems, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, Planswift).
- Attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
