Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer – Interior Fit-Out

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, project budgets, tender packages, and quotation comparisons.
• Review drawings, specifications, project scope, and fit-out package requirements.
• Track budgets, committed costs, actual costs, cost to complete, forecast final cost, and forecast gross profit.
• Monitor project gross profit and gross profit percentage and identify potential cost overruns.
• Prepare client variation submissions and evaluate subcontractor variation claims.
• Verify subcontractor progress and payment applications.
• Track purchase orders, subcontract values, and outstanding commitments.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Accounting.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and support client payment applications and cash-flow forecasting.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of Quantity Surveying or Cost Control experience.
• Strong Dubai or UAE interior fit-out experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of civil, architectural, joinery, and MEP fit-out packages.
• Strong BOQ, quantity take-off, and cost estimation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Good written and spoken English.
• UAE experience is strongly preferred.
• Commercial fit-out experience in restaurants, cafés, retail, offices, gyms, or clinics is advantageous.
