Role Overview
The Quantitative Developer joins the Systematic Strategies team within Morningstar’s Research and Investment group.
The role builds scalable research infrastructure for portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to develop, back-test, and deploy multi-asset models.
The position combines data engineering, cloud architecture, and financial systems work.
Location and Schedule
- The role is based in Mumbai or Delhi and follows a hybrid schedule with four days working from the office each week.
- The shift is the UK afternoon shift, approximately 2:00 or 2:30 pm to 11:00 or 11:30 pm.
- The employment type is full time.
Data and Investment Platforms
- Design and maintain scalable pipelines for market, fundamental, and alternative datasets using Python, PySpark, FastAPI, and AWS.
- Build and support investment data platforms, databases, and research datasets.
- Integrate automated retrieval from providers such as FactSet, Morningstar, Axioma, and other third-party sources.
- Support quantitative researchers and portfolio managers with research, design, back-testing, and deployment workflows.
