Role Overview

Review and Inspection Planning

• Review approved E&I drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Coordinate daily E&I inspection activities with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Verify work readiness before inspections to avoid rework.

Electrical Inspection and Testing

• Inspect cable laying, cable pulling, termination, glanding, earthing, lighting, MDBs, SMDBs, MCCs, and electrical equipment installation.
• Verify electrical work against approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Witness and record continuity, insulation resistance, earth resistance, and functional testing.

Instrumentation Inspection and Testing

• Inspect transmitters, control valves, tubing, impulse lines, junction boxes, cable trays, and instrument supports.
• Verify instrument tagging, mounting, orientation, and installation against approved drawings and specifications.
• Witness and record calibration checks, loop checks, continuity tests, and functional tests under supervision.

Inspection Requests and Coordination

• Prepare, submit, and follow up Work Inspection Requests and Material Inspection Requests.
• Participate in joint inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
• Track inspection outcomes, comments, and required corrective actions.

Reporting and Non-Conformance

• Prepare daily E&I quality inspection reports and maintain inspection checklists.
• Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and approval records for audits and handover.
• Identify non-conforming work or materials, assist with NCRs, and verify corrective work through re-inspection.

Site and Handover Support

• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, subcontractors, testing agencies, and site engineers.
• Support the Quality Engineer during audits, client inspections, and quality meetings.
• Support commissioning and handover by ensuring E&I quality records are completed and approved.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical, instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of E&I quality inspection experience in civil and/or oil and gas construction projects.
• Knowledge of E&I installation, testing practices, quality documentation, and relevant international standards.
• Ability to interpret E&I drawings, layouts, cable schedules, and loop diagrams.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in site and field environments.
