Role Overview
Create and implement a quality control and assurance program for vertical transportation projects.
Inspect products at worksites, define field operational processes, and manage unit testing with client inspection teams before handover.
Perform duties in accordance with business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems for materials and finished products at major project worksites.
- Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve quality requirements for manufacturing planning, supplier purchase orders, and engineering specifications.
- Devise testing plans and methods to assure product installation reliability.
- Inspect parts and supplies at worksites for compliance with specifications and contractual agreements.
- Develop and maintain quality standards for all field operation activities.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions and process reengineering.
- Develop and maintain the quality system through internal audits and compliance with defined processes.
- Coordinate with client inspection teams and Otis quality assurance teams to deploy best practices locally.
- Design and deliver training materials on quality standards and activities.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and update safety policies when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Certified Quality Engineer certification or equivalent is preferred.
- At least three years of relevant experience performing engineering operations in the vertical transportation industry.
