Role Description

  • The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure products, services, and operational processes meet organizational standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • This role drives continuous improvement by identifying quality issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance overall product and process performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop quality plans, inspection procedures, testing protocols, and quality standards.
  • Perform quality inspections, process audits, product evaluations, and compliance assessments.
  • Investigate quality issues by conducting root cause analysis, documenting non conformities, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor quality performance metrics, analyze defect trends, prepare quality reports, and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, procurement, product development, and cross functional teams to implement quality initiatives.
  • Support supplier quality management, risk assessments, internal and external audits, regulatory compliance activities, and continuous improvement of quality management systems.
  • Contribute to the development of quality documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs while promoting a culture of quality across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of quality engineering principles, quality assurance, quality control, process improvement, root cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools, data analysis software, spreadsheet applications, reporting tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards and methodologies such as ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate quality data, identify trends, investigate non conformities, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple quality initiatives while maintaining high standards of compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
