About the Role

Responsibilities
- Prepare, implement, and manage Inspection & Testing Plans (ITPs) for structural steel fabrication and site erection projects.
- Verify and inspect incoming raw materials, steel profiles, welding consumables, and coatings against project specifications and Mill Test Certificates (MTC).
- Monitor welding operations to ensure compliance with approved WPS and PQR; coordinate and witness NDT including UT, MPI, and PT.
- Perform final structural alignment inspections, fit up inspections, and paint dry film thickness (DFT) checks.
- Compile comprehensive Quality Records, Handover Packages, and Manufacturer Data Books (MDB); raise, track, and close Non Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Coordinate directly with client consultants, third party inspectors, and project personnel during mandatory hold points and material approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3–5 years of proven experience in QA/QC handling structural steel projects in the GCC region
- Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1) and NDT Level II (UT, MT, PT) certifications highly preferred
- Deep knowledge of international structural steel and welding standards (AISC, AWS D1.1, BS EN, ASTM)
- Strong communication skills in English

Job Description
- Atovee Steel Constructions is looking for an experienced and detail oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our team.
- Responsible for maintaining, implementing, and enforcing total quality assurance and quality control standards across structural steel fabrication and site erection projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, implement, and manage ITPs for structural steel fabrication and site erection projects.
- Verify and inspect all incoming raw materials, steel profiles, welding consumables, and coatings against project specifications and MTC.
- Monitor welding operations for compliance with approved WPS and PQR; coordinate and witness NDT including UT, MPI, and PT.
- Perform final structural alignment inspections, fit up inspections, and paint DFT checks using calibrated instruments.
- Compile comprehensive Quality Records, Handover Packages, and MDB; raise, track, and close NCR.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in QA/QC handling structural steel projects in the UAE or wider GCC region.
- Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1) and NDT Level II (UT, MT, PT) certifications are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of international structural steel and welding standards (AISC, AWS D1.1, BS EN, ASTM).
- Strong communication skills in English.
